creative fuel

I’m often asked, “Where do you get your ideas?” To be very honest, l don’t always know. Most often, I’m influenced by the creative work of others, the sights and sounds that surround me, and the relationships I share with others. The latter is what inspired most of the pieces that are currently featured in Somerset Life’s Winter 2015 issue. They emerged from lovely moments involving my daughter-in-law’s mother, travels with my husband, and the discovery of a simple handwritten note among the library shelves.

I can only wonder what life adventures will fuel my creative interests in 2015.
